Chloes Story
Chlo, a strength & conditioning student confused about how to treat her knee pain š¤ confused to why she feels weird deadlifting š¤ all she really needed was simplicity.
'I have been struggling with someĀ knee painĀ for a few years from jumping in volleyball and the uni physio sessions only appeared toĀ make things worse.Ā I alsoĀ didnāt feel like I could targetĀ my glutes and hamstrings when deadlifting or deadlift as much as I could hip thrust in comparison. Even when I asked my lecture for help, he couldnāt understandĀ why either as my form was good.'
'I chatted to Floss about the exercises I was doing in the sessions, she took at look at my knees capabilities and limitations. We ran through the workout plan she created for me, itĀ addresses strengthening and conditioningĀ my knee and has progression to assist with my jump height. I havenāt experiencedĀ any pain sinceĀ using the plan.'
'She also looked at my deadlift and identified I loaded everything in my back when deadlifting because, my back is ultimately weak compared to my glutes and hamstrings. Therefore my gym plan also has back strengthening exercises whilst not compromising my leg strength. Iām nowĀ able to targetĀ my hamstrings and glutes andĀ I donāt experience any back discomfort.'
Really simple knee exercises that she needed to master and have reduced pain before progressing the exercises and zero pain before doing anything else complexā¦ Her deadlift she needed to relax, tune into where she was lifting from and take the weight down to have the effect she wanted and neededā¦
šFor Ā£60 Chloe had 5 splits with 2 variations (10 workouts total)
šš¼āāļøĀ£36 x 1 face to face PT in her gym
Thank you Chlo for the opportunity to get your knee back on track š
